Five Hundred Cuts Coco & Vanilla Rum
€38.00
Brewdog Distilling Five Hundred Cuts Coconut & Vanilla is a Scottish spirit made from molasses rum. It is produced by the Lone Wolf distillery, which opened in Ellon in 2016 and now operates under the name Brewdog Distilling. The molasses used to make it comes from the Caribbean. It is fermented for 7 days with oenological yeasts, before being distilled twice in copper Holstein iron stills. While part of the rum is macerated with spices (tonka beans, cinnamon, ginger, etc.), the other part is distilled again with green cardamom, orange peel, Sichuan pepper and cloves. A maceration of toasted coconut and fresh vanilla is added to the rum, followed by an addition of 8 grams per litre of muscovado sugar to sweeten it.
