KBS Espresso is a very enjoyable variant on the usual KBS, the very first bourbon barrel aged beer to ever hit the Maltese shores. It looks terrific … gorgeous tan head above the dark mahogany body. The smell is heavy on the coffee and roasted malts. The taste is heavy on the coffee. There’s bourbon there, but a bit in the background for a bourbon barrel aged beer.
