DIPA – or Double IPA – is a modern beer style created by American microbreweries in the 1990s. Brewed with a “bigger is better” mentality, both malt and hop quantities are amped up considerably compared to more traditional IPAs. In a good Double IPA the strong hoppy overtones should always be balanced by a full-bodied malt body.
